Colourful Peacock on canvas

My love for peacocks are infinite! I love the majestic colours of their feathers, they have the power to mesmerize. Don't you think?

I have been painting peacocks a lot over the summer/lock-down and I finally put this one on canvas. I used Holbein Acryla gouache and acrylic, plus some golden paint.

The canvas measures 20x20 cm and it has the most vibrant colours ever!

I decide to call him Indian Dream. It has in the middle of his feathers a Inner Eye, that one that sees all :P I inspired my self in the almighty George Harrison.

Latin Hispanic silver ring earrings - Get the Latin Look. :P

Working with metals have been a blessing. The opportunity came into my life when I was thirsty for new things, new challenges. I was so lucky to enrol in a college and have the best teacher ever!  A fantastic man from Florence, Italy, who knew so much and he was always willing to teach us the best way possible.

A friend requested to have something Latin/Hispanic and this was the result. Shes was so pleased. The good thing about designed pieces is that it can always be altered. Because I am the one making them, I can modify them as I please.

This creation was inspired and Andalusia or the Havana. The little disc  holding blindly the big ring gives the earring a simple and modern feel.

They were made in sterling silver and they were cut and polish by me. I felt that a metal brush polish was needed to achieve the matte shine.

These are not on my Etsy shop Bazaar de Lory

They can be ordered directly.

Jellyfish sterling silver earrings with lapis lazuli (Etsy)

💙
‘They just came out of the oven’- as we say in Spanish!
They are 6cm Silver stud earrings in a sahpe of a jellyfish. Aren't they gorgeous? The silver has been treated, it is called 'Reticulated silver', expose constantly to the fire. I decided to put silver chains and lapis lazuli stone in order to create a playful movement.
All handmade in my studio in Cambridgeshire, of course!
You can find it in my Etsy shop: BAZAAR DE LORY <3

Sagrado Corazon de Jesus sobre tela. Sacred Heart Of Jesus on Canvas

My family back in Chile were extremely devoted Catholics. This is the time were almost everyone was in South America. It was the Spanish Heritage, language and religion. We may argue all we can or want, but that it how it was.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus played a very important part in my upbringing, therefore has a very special meaning for me. All over South America, people paint and depict it in glorious different versions, this one in mine.

I had to put a lot of colours! That is who I am, could not make it otherwise. :)

I used Holbein Acryla Gouache on canvas 22x22.

You can also find it in my Etsy shop.  BAZAAR DE LORY

Look at the flowers in her head... she comes in colours. Girl with flower head.

 Hola,

I so much like this painting using the same technique of the 'Cambridge Bike'. Holbein acryla gouache on canvas with extremely vibrant colours.

I really love painting on canvas framed on an embroidery hoop, it holds the piece nicely.

This girl seems bored and sad with the whole pandemic situation but from her  hair, love and hope come to live.

This one it has been already sold, but I always willing to do another one :)

Musical earrings - bass and treble clef in silver

All my life I have been a very, extremely musical person. The Beatles have been my soul band and have led the way in my life, sadly, unbelievable, but true. In my time being a journalist I also wrote for a Chilean music magazine in Chile, #Rockaksis . It was fun!

My children are all about music as well. Both musicians with grade 8s in various instruments, one of the studying music at university level and the other as part of  a regional conservatoire.  I cannot simply believe how lucky I have been to have a musical home full of instruments (sometimes we can hardly move about) and talented children.

Therefore, and in honour of this love for music, I have created little silver stud earrings with the symbol of bass and treble clef. All handmade in my studio in Cambridgeshire.

They are now on my Etsy shop! Bazaar de Lory

www.etsy.com/uk/shop/bazaardelory

I wanted to talk about this wonderful painting. I called it The Cambridge Bike.

Have you ever visited Cambridge? If you have not, I'll tel you that is a gorgeous city with a prestigious university :P. Also, it is very well known for its bikes! They come in different colours with basket full of flowers and fresh bread for supper. It of the most popular way of transportation.

I have mine in red and it has a basket full of love. It has been my loyal friend for many years and it is proven that is the fastest way to move around town.

I decided to create this painting thinking about just that: the joy of our bikes. I have used Holbein Acryla Gouache, I just love the palette of vibrant colours.  It is painted on canvas and lovely framed in an embroidery hoop.

It is soon available on my Etsy shop Bazzar de  Lory . If you do know me, contact me directly and I will be able to offer you a discount.

See you soon! x

New Etsy Shop! Bazaar de Lory

 Hola!

Welcome to my brand new ETSY shop BAZAAR DE LORY

I have not been here for many years! Somehow life took me to Instagram and things become faster and faster, therefore, a bit disposable too.

I have embarked in wonderful new adventures, if you must know, and I started to study 'Silversmith' jewelry at college (obviously, before the pandemic horror). It was a dream of mine to be able to make my own silver jewelry and complete sets I lost or broke. Well, one thing letd to another, and I built my own studio at the back of my garden and I started to design my own jewelry. People liked it and bought it! I am so grateful of the appreciation for my art.

Also I started to illustrate and paint on paper  and canvas with watercolour and acrylics. They have been adored by some people and I can only thank them all for the love towards my humble drawings. It feel like going to my happy place from childhood where I am content and in peace. I use vibrant colours that express my personality, able to bright any room!

Now I have discovered one of my true passions, I am not going back! All I do it is handmade in my studio in Cambridgeshire with love and dedication, using but the best materials.

I have even an Etsy shop. If you are not familiar with it, it is a platform where I put my art and give the opportunity to people who do not know me to see what I create. If you know me, contact me directly, there is always a discount for nice people: Click in Bazaar de Lory

Thanks for reading. See you hopefully, very soon.
