Roma; simplemente.

~~~~~
“You need all your life” was saying in our ears the automatic tour guide. All of our life to get lost and find ourselves in Rome... it is true. I won’t speak about her vast qualities, about her endless beauty, about the interest that holds in the area of arts, architecture, fashion, religion or cuisine... no. Rome is Rome after all and everything is explained in her sole name.
Through the years and by the hand of different people I have walked in her streets, each time I have experienced different sensations, however, always I got captivated to the very top with her; a fully romantic  and crazy city.
This time I visited Rome with my eldest son and my aunty; who has come all the way from Chile to adventure in the European landscapes and its history. A very unforgettable experience indeed.
Viva la fiesta!
What a fantastic time we had!  Some friends that we care about like family! Some lovely children giggling around the house ...  All nice and just great, what a pleasant effortless afternoon! Oh and the food! Everything homemade - except the biscuits :)
Qué linda tarde pasamos con amigos que son como familia, lindos y simpáticos niños revoloteando por la casa con risas sin fin… Simplemente fantástico y relajado! Oh y la comida! Todo casero (hecho en casa por mi), menos las galletas :)
                    Russia, England, Chile -England & India.
   Piñata included! With and Arabian twist.
                   Cocadas de manjar chilenas.
Feliz Cumpleaños!
Pide un deseo! ~ Make a wish!
Fondant es un verdadero arte del que estoy muy lejos de manejar. Traté de escribir el nombre de Thomas en la cubierta y esto es lo que más pude hacer; un fiasco. Sin embargo y a pesar del mamarracho, mi hijo estaba feliz. Todo lo que se hace con amor sabe bien. :)
Al comenzar  Abril, mi vida se ve enfrentada a festejos sin fin. Uno tras otro; casi cada semana estamos con celebraciones, comiendo tortas y embelecos. De lo bueno: MUCHO.
… Así, así se nos pasa el tiempo, como arena entre los dedos; cliché más cierto! Cómo es posible que haya pasado tanto tiempo, si nació AYER! Amor más grande; NUNCA!
En la foto este chico está con la hermana mayor? :P
~~
The fondant is an art with itself. Nothing to say. I am so far from managing this technique that even before I started I already gave up. I tried to write the name Thomas and this was the only letters I could achieved. However, and despite the wishy-washy looking cake, my darling son was so happy to have it. Everything  made with love,  tastes good.
When April commences and then May comes a long,  is a nonstop of parties and celebration and endless cake procession...
... so this is the way how times passes in front of us, like sand between our fingers, what a truthful cliché! How is it possible that he has grown so much and so quick, but He was born yesterday!
Is this boy with the eldest sister ? :P
Paris.
He estado sumamente viajera. Pocos días después de mi regreso de Italia, con una amiga Mexicana nos fuimos a la ciudad de las luces: París!
Nos instalamos en el Eurostar y nos fuimos tranquilamente atrapadas en conversaciones sin fin, no nos dimos ni cuenta cuando cruzamos subterráneamente en Canal de la Mancha y en una cosa de horas ya estábamos en parís. Vive La France!
Continuidad de mi celebración de cumpleaños. Próxima parada: Roma!
~~~~

I have been extremely fond of travelling. Few days after I arrived from Italy, with a good Mexican friend we went to the city of lights: Paris!

Quiet and comfortably we set off on the Eurostar. We engaged in an endless conversation while the rocking movement of the train was relaxing us. We did not even realize when we crossed under the English channel and in matter of hours we were in Paris!. Vive La France!

This is part of my continuous birthday celebration. Next stop: Rome!

Make-up basket ~ Canasto para las pinturas

I had this brown cotton, it was an old t-shirt. I cut it in a long string and I crocheted this for my bathroom. Now is accommodating my makeup. Everything in use in Sonido Retro!

~~~~~~
Tenía una polera marrón  de algodón vieja y la corte en una tira larga. Tejí a crochet un práctico canasto para mis pinturas. Nada se pierde en Sonido Retro y reciclamos Todo! :d
Crochet baby shoes...
Cosa más deleitosa fue tejer esta “casi” producción industrial de zapatitos en crochet. Algunas amigas tuvieron guaguas (bebés), otras están a punto y quise entregarles un bello detalle.
Ya me magino esos piececitos en las fibras delicadas del algodón. Suspiros!
 ~~~~~~

It was delightful to crochet this “almost” mass production of baby shoes. Some of my friend has just had a baby and others soon to become one, so I wanted to give them a delicate detail.

I can imagine the little feet snuggled in the soft cotton yarn already.

Somerset 2012...

We had one of those holidays, "almost" totally cut off from any internet, facebook, blog, twitter activity (not for my husband, of course,  who totally lives in a parallel planet always connected to the artefacts)

We were right in the middle of nowhere, Somerset that was; in a stunning property of the National Trust with a windmill in the back garden.  Our nearest neighbours were the sheep and the lambs. Nothing but the sound of nature and the marvellous look of it.

If your children do not get ill in the meantime and you do not have to drag them partially drugged in paracetamol everywhere, it is a place for all sort of activities, promising breathtaking discoveries. We covered all Glastonbury, the sea side, Bath, Cheddar (where the cheddar cheese come from), Wookey Hole (an amazing place for children, plus its caves), Cheddar Gore,  the prehistoric caves and lovely tea rooms...

It rained just the day we left... so we were very lucky in that respect.

Now I need a break for the Easter break! What is next? Oh... Italy jejeje

~~~~
Tuvimos Uno de esas vacaciones... “casi” enteramente desconectados de internet, facebook, blogs, twitter y cuanta lesera virtual aparece – no por mi marido, obvio, el que vive en un mundo paralelo vinculado a un artefacto en las puntas de sus dedos, casi como prolongación natural.
Nos quedamos en una maravillosa propiedad de National Trust con un molino de viento en el fondo del jardín, estábamos justo en la mitad de la nada, el campo puro del condado de Somerset! Nuestros vecinos más cercanos eran los corderillos y sus madres ovejas. Nada más que el silencio conmovedor .
Si vuestros hijos no se enferman a mitad de camino y no tienen que arrastarlos medios drogados en paracetamol, la odisea  promete ser un viaje espectacular, con actividades y descubrimientos para quitarte el aliento.  Nos recorrimos todo Glastonbury, la playa, Bath, Cheddar (cuidad de donde viene el famoso queso), Wookey Hole (parque de entretenciones alucinante, con unas cavernas magnificas), la quebrada de Chaddar y otras cavernas prehistóricas, y para qué hablar de los hermosos salones de té.
Llovió justo el día que nos fuimos, en ese respecto fuimos también muy afortunados.
Ahora necesito un brake de estas vacaciones de pascuas, qué sigue ahora…oh, Italia jejeje.
